At Tellaro’s marina, the historic washhouses served as a place for community gatherings until the mid-20th century.

Hiking trails with coastal views

For active days, the Tellaro–Portesone–Barbazzano–Fiascherino route offers a clearly defined option: it takes one hour, has an elevation gain of 115 meters and is rated difficulty level E. The route from Tellaro via Portesone and Barbazzano passes through olive groves to the ruins of Portesone and Barbazzano. Landscape and history lie side by side along this trail.

The Tellaro–La Serra–Rocchetta–Zanego–Tellaro loop is a signposted hiking circuit. Within the Montemarcello-Magra-Vara Regional Nature Park, Tellaro is connected by several scenic trails to Lerici, La Serra and Montemarcello. Behind the marina, a cliffside path offers views of the village, the islands of the Gulf of the Poets and the rugged coast of Fiascherino. Convenient steps lead from the road to Lerici near Tellaro to the cliffs and onward to the coves of Fiascherino. The hiking theme therefore ranges from a marked loop to individual coastal viewpoints.
