The Táncsics Mihály Memorial House is a house built in 1790 with clay walls and a thatched roof, and is designated as the birthplace of Táncsics Mihály. The statue of Táncsics Mihály was erected in 1886 in Ácsteszér, his home village, and was Hungary’s first statue of Táncsics.

Culture and history

At the beginning of Táncsics Mihály Street, the Ősnyomtató sculpture stands in a well-maintained park. It commemorates Táncsics Mihály as a campaigner for a free press. Visitors to the Táncsics Mihály statue can learn about its history, commissioners, year of installation and creators by following a tour.

The Church of Saint Martin, Bishop, in Ácsteszér was built in 1792–94 and dedicated to this saint.
