Vágáshuta has an almost unique settlement structure shaped by the terrain. The village is divided into three major sections: Dolina, Kispart, and Nagypart.

Culture and History
Vágáshuta developed from a glassworks founded in the 18th century, which was called Prédahegyi huta. The village is also home to a Roman Catholic branch church dedicated to Our Lady of the Visitation.
The Slovak Local History Museum in Vágáshuta preserves a small residential building with vernacular architectural features dating from the end of the 19th century or an earlier period. It also presents the lifestyle and culture of the Slovak population that settled in the inner Zemplén Mountains.
A new glassworks workshop is located in the Nagypart district. Interested visitors can learn about the glassblowing process there and also try out glassworking techniques such as engraving.
Nature and Landscape
Kispart in Vágáshuta offers a panorama of the surrounding landscape. At the same time, Vágáshuta is one of the settlements affected by a Natura 2000 bird protection area; 15,34762 % of its territory is affected by it.
On the Way
The current stamping point of the Országos Kéktúra is located in Vágáshuta at an OKK information board opposite the Vágáshuta Vendég- és Turistaház.
The route leads through the broad, open valley floor of Tehénkosár and follows the babbling Hollós stream.
