Harsány
Accommodation in Harsány
Anyone considering Harsány as a holiday destination will find several specific points of interest here: a lake landscape on the southern slopes of the Bükk Mountains, paths by the water and a history of construction dating back to the 18th century. Harsányi Horgásztó is about 10 km from Miskolc. The lake system comprises three lakes formed by damming the Csincse stream and arranged in a chain. Together, they offer 40 ha of usable water surface. This makes it possible to explore the landscape through several bodies of water, not just a single lake.

Lakes, paths and activities
The area figures refer to two different scales: 40 ha of usable water surface for the entire lake system and 20 ha for the largest Harsány fishing pond. It has an average depth of 2.5 m; its basin runs evenly parallel to the cross-dam, and the bottom is obstructed in places. This provides specific information about the shape and condition of one body of water, in addition to the overall area.
At Harsányi Szabadidő- és Kalandpark, Nádasvölgyi-tó offers the opportunity to go boating. A hiking trail runs around Harsányi Horgásztó. Fishing at Harsányi-tavak began in 2006. These waters offer different attractions: an opportunity to go boating, a trail around the lake and a history of fishing with a clear starting date.
A specific cycling route section is also a useful point of reference in the village: a designated 0.5 km section has been completed on Harsány’s Dózsa György út. If you like to include different forms of exercise in your holiday plans, you will find both a section in the village and a hiking trail around Horgásztó.

The local history includes the enlargement of the large cellar on the estate in Harsány. This took place between 1755 and 1759, at the same time as the expansion of the Bishop’s Cellar in Eger. This chronological connection places the construction work in Harsány in a specific historical context. The Sópince is closed to visitors for an indefinite period for technical reasons. If you are considering a visit, check its current status in advance.
If you are planning a trip with several companions, this capacity figure provides a useful indication of scale.
