Discover Pragmateftís
Accommodation in Pragmateftis
Pragmateftís is a traditional settlement with picturesque houses and views of the Myrtoan Sea. The village lies at an elevation of 150 to 250 metres. The character of the settlement, its elevation and its views give this destination three concrete points of reference around which you can organise your interests for your stay. If you would like to consider the character of the place as well as individual destinations when choosing where to spend your holiday, you will find a clear starting point here.
Settlement and views
The elevation and the sea view answer different questions: the range of 150 to 250 metres describes the altitude, while the view of the Myrtoan Sea reveals the landscape setting. Together with the picturesque houses, they create a sense of place shaped both by the settlement and by the views. When planning your trip, you can first decide whether you would most like to get to know Pragmateftís as a traditional settlement or whether the other named places in the area should take centre stage. This priority can also help you tailor your search for a holiday apartment to the kind of stay you have in mind.
Churches and traces of older buildings
In Sabatiki, one of the settlements included in this destination, there is a church dedicated to the Virgin Mary. To the east lie the ruins of older buildings, apparently cells and ancillary rooms. If you are interested in local history, you can distinguish here between a church dedication, a specific location and a building trace that should be interpreted with caution. Limnes, with its Church of Saint George, is also nearby. This gives you two distinct religious points of reference: the Church of the Virgin Mary in Sabatiki, with the ruins to its east, and the Church of Saint George in Limnes.
Coastal destinations nearby
The coastal locations can also be distinguished from one another. Thiopafto beach is said to be about two kilometres from Pragmateftís. The waters of Sampatiki are also said to be around two kilometres from Pragmateftís. The two points of reference are described differently: Thiopafto is a beach, while in Sampatiki the waters are the point of reference. For orientation, this distinction is more useful than an apparently precise ranking, since both distances are approximate. If you include the surrounding area in your plans, you can first distinguish between the kind of coastal setting you are looking for, rather than focusing only on the number.
Choose the focus that suits you
If you would also like to consider a coastal location, distinguish between Thiopafto, described as a beach, and the waters of Sampatiki. This lets you make your choice based on the different features of the village and its surroundings: the settlement and its views, religious heritage or coastal setting.
