Harztor offers several appealing perspectives for planning a holiday: rock formations and woodland areas in the Bere Valley Nature Reserve, a gypsum karst landscape near Harzungen, distinctive village scenes and cultural history. Neustadt/Harz and Ilfeld each have their own character.
