Wahlstedt: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Wahlstedt is located directly on the Segeberg Forest, the second-largest contiguous forest area in Schleswig-Holstein. There are designated hiking tours in the town; the Mönchsweg also runs through the Trappenkamp–Wahlstedt–Bad Segeberg section. Water and Animals

Aqua Fun includes a six-meter-long water climbing wall with a climbing height of four meters. Aqua Fun's outdoor pool has a large water slide and a baby pool. There is also a year-round motorhome parking area there.

The Kleine Arche Wahlstedt is a visitor refuge for rare or endangered domestic animal breeds. An educational trail with signs explains the animals on display.

Culture and History

The Marine Artillery Arsenal History Trail is approximately three kilometers long, has twelve information stations, and is open to the public. The Marine Artillery Arsenal Wahlstedt Information and Documentation Center is housed in the arsenal's former waterworks bunker and presents several permanent exhibitions across approximately 200 square meters. The center can be reached from Wahlstedt railway station with a walk of about 15 minutes; prior registration with VHS Wahlstedt is required for visits.

The Local History and Crafts Museum presents village life and old workshops from the period between 1850 and 1930. A model of the marine arsenal explains Wahlstedt's first industrial development there. The Church of Christ has a Bible garden and a memorial site where visitors can pause for reflection.
