History

Gut Kamp is situated on a hill between the villages of Schlamersdorf and Garbek in the Holstein Switzerland region. The settlement of Kamp was first mentioned in a document in 1249. In 1882, a major fire destroyed part of Kamp's farmsteads. In 1895, Paul Isenberg bought Gut Travenort and established the Paulshof there. Attractions in the Trave-Land administrative district include prehistoric and early historical archaeological monuments.

Nature

The Trave-Land administrative district encompasses natural features in a landscape shaped by the Ice Age. The Holstein Switzerland Nature Park covers 750 square kilometres. Signposted cycle paths run throughout the nature park, passing manor houses and castles. Getting around
