Thirty-five sculptures are distributed along the shoreline of the Gut Wittmoldt peninsula. The Lakeside Trail is permanently open to visitors.

Culture

The manor house at Gut Wittmoldt was built in 1895 in the historicist style. In the 18th century, Wittmoldt had a significant glassworks, particularly for bottle production.

Guided canoe tours in Plön pass through five of the city’s twelve lakes and combine canoeing with information about the town, the lakes and Holstein Switzerland. From Plön, the Schwentine canoe route leads into Lake Kleiner Plöner See and onwards towards Preetz. A road connection to Plön brought an end to the centuries-old ferry service from Wittmoldt via Dörnick and the Schwentine to Plön.
