History
Högsdorf is documented under the historical forms HUSSEKENDORP, HOSTORPE, HÖSTORF and HOESTORFF and has used its present name since 1810. In the Helmstorf estate district, a large proportion of the land was leased from the late 18th century until the estate districts were dissolved in 1927; Högsdorf was sold in 1928 by the owner of the estate.
