Hedwigenkoog: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
The Westerkoog bathing area offers direct access to the Wadden Sea or the North Sea. The boundary of the salt marshes in National Park Zone 1 is visible about 200 metres away. The Wadden Sea is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and provides a habitat for many bird species. Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Hedwigenkoog can then continue searching for accommodation.

Well-signposted cycling routes with little motorised traffic run through the flat marshland. Coastal cycling along the outer dike can take you almost as far as Büsum in one direction and to the Eider Barrage in the other.
From Hedwigenkoog, buses can be used to reach surrounding towns; cycling is also a practical way to explore the local coastal landscape.
