Elpersbüttel also has a bridleway as one of its recreational facilities. In Speicherkoog near Meldorf, an inland surfing spot independent of the tide level is located directly behind the dike.

Visitor Facilities

The Wattwurm National Park Station is an exhibition and information centre in Speicherkoog between Elpersbüttel bathing area and New Meldorfer Hafen. It is the starting point for guided tours; in addition, a nature trail next to the station offers opportunities to observe orchids in early summer.
