Culture and history

The Lohsa church has two galleries, which were painted with Bible verses in German and Sorbian in 1892. Two stained-glass east windows were donated in 1900.

The Ladegast-Rühlmann organ in the Lohsa church is described as an important historical document of high Romantic organ building. It has 18 stops, two manuals, a pedalboard and 1,100 pipes.

The Zejler-Smoler House features an exhibition about places and villages around Lohsa that disappeared as a result of lignite mining.
