The collection includes a Cosmographia by Sebastian Münster from 1579; the Cosmographia can be viewed by prior telephone appointment.

Bernsbach developed its own craft tradition involving sheet-metal work, plumbing, spoon making, sponge making, sulfur match production, and lace making. More than 70 types of spoons were produced and traded as far as Spain, Russia, and Poland.
