Horn: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Horn combines protected architectural and cultural monuments with art, events and paths through the Hunsrück. The protected Protestant Church in Horn is a Baroque hall church built in 1781/82; its Baroque cemetery wall and the cemetery are part of the protected ensemble. South of Horn lies the protected Horn Castle, a ring-wall fortification dating from the 10th or 11th century.

Culture

Wilhelm Philip Oertel, known as W. O. von Horn, is associated with Horn. He was born in Horn in 1798 and wrote novels and short stories. Galerie Rehberg also shapes the cultural character of the town: after 37 years of exhibiting in Mainz, it moved to Horn. Its focus is on sculptures that combine visual and tactile qualities. The gallery presents four exhibitions each year. Visits are requested in advance by email or telephone.
