Pfalzfeld: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Pfalzfeld can then continue searching for accommodation. This is a joint project involving Pfalzfeld, Lingerhahn and Hausbay.

Nature

The Baybach Springs hiking route follows walkable forest and meadow paths and offers wide-ranging views along the way. It was laid out around the headwater streams that converge in Hausbay to form the Baybach; 32 kilometres later, the Baybach reaches the Moselle.

The route’s attractions include the Pfalzfeld Obelisk and the water tower at Pfalzfeld railway station.

On the Way

A hiking car park dating from 2022 near Platform 3 has space for 25 cars and two motorhomes. It serves as the starting and finishing point of the Baybach Springs hiking route.

At Pfalzfeld Market Square, the route offers rest areas with deckchairs and benches. A drinks tree at Pfalzfeld Market is located approximately halfway along the route. The drinks tree attraction includes two natural seating areas.

Paths and History

Platform 3 is located next to the Schinderhannes Cycle Route and offers regional food, indoor and beer-garden seating, bicycle repairs, an e-bike charging station, a nature-oriented playground and boules.

The Pfalzfeld water tower is 18 metres high. After the Boppard–Simmern railway line was built in 1906, water towers supplied steam locomotives with operational water.

The original Celtic column from Pfalzfeld is located in the Rhenish State Museum in Bonn; copies stand in the centre of Pfalzfeld and next to the Schinderhannes Cycle Route.

After railway operations ended in 1988 and the tracks were dismantled, the Schinderhannes Cycle Route from Pfalzfeld to Simmern was created on the former track bed. The regional Schinderhannes Cycle Route covers 38 kilometres along the former railway line between Emmelshausen, Kastellaun and Simmern/Hunsrück.
