History

The name of the Eimsheimer Römerschanze vineyard site is based on Roman finds.

Churches and Monuments

A church in Eimsheim is first mentioned in 1303. The present-day Church of St Pirmin dates from 1780. Its west tower is probably medieval in origin.

The Napoleon Stone was erected in 1852 in Eimsheim’s old cemetery, near the edge of the town and the tennis court.

Wine and Market

Eimsheim has local wine production. Eimsheim has around 100 hectares of vineyards in the wine-growing sites of Oppenheimer Krötenbrunnen, Hexelberg, Sonnenhang and Römerschanze.

The Krebs-Grode winery is a sixth-generation family winery in Eimsheim; its vineyards cover 28 hectares. Its wines are described as organically certified and vegan.
