Rischenau: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
On the outskirts of Rischenau, Paradiesmühle preserves its historic mill technology. It is operated as a mill museum and private local history museum focusing on Rischenau and the former district of Lippe-Biesterfeld.
History
In the Biesterfeld part of Rischenau, three buildings of the former estate have been preserved: the former forester’s house, the servants’ quarters, and the partially preserved brewery and distillery building, which was later rebuilt as a riding hall after a fire.
Falkenhagen Monastery is located near Rischenau. Thienhausen and the Imperial Abbey of Corvey are situated in the surrounding area of Rischenau.
Steinknipel and Winterberg are also situated in the surrounding area of Rischenau. Ottenhausen Blockhouse is located in the wider regional area, while Scharpenberg and Steinerberg are near Rischenau.
Food and Herbs
The Paradiesmühle museum complex includes a restaurant, a café, and an inn. Meals, drinks, and homemade cakes and tarts are offered.

Getting There
Paradiesmühle can be reached via the S-Bahn stations in Bad Pyrmont or Lügde, as well as via the Rischenau “Alte Post” bus stop, which is served by bus routes 595, 760, 761, 762, and 774.
