Churches tell stories spanning several centuries

The Wüste Kirche Domherrenhagen is the last surviving structural remnant of a village that existed there from the 13th to the 15th century. In 1271, the church in Domherrenhagen became the parish church for the inhabitants of Rambow. Occasional church services and concerts are now held in the ruins. Here, the story of the vanished village meets occasional religious or musical use. The farm’s botanical garden features 700 different perennials and woody plants. A visit thus offers several interests side by side: animals and their breeds, play facilities for children, and a wide variety of perennials and woody plants. The farm is located at Rambow Hof in the Mecklenburg Switzerland region on a terminal moraine; there is a car park in front of the farm.

An unusual stop for cultural history can be found in the Pfundgrube manor house at Rambow Hof: it houses the First German Metre Museum. In Marxhagen, a district of the municipality of Moltzow, stands a castle built in the Tudor style in the mid-19th century. It continues the tradition of English Tudor Gothic architecture in Mecklenburg. The park at the manor house and the castle in Marxhagen are separate historic features within the municipality.
