The Nemitzer Heide extends into the municipality of Prezelle. The nature reserve is a breeding area for birds of open and semi-open, warm and dry heathland as well as sparse woodland edges. Prezelle is also located on the edge of a 6,000-hectare forest complex.
The Prezelle church complex is located in the centre of the village. It consists of the Protestant church and the surrounding churchyard. The complex includes a war memorial that was erected after the First World War and expanded around 1950. The church complex is of historical and urban-planning significance and is listed as a protected group of buildings.
The present-day church was commissioned by the von Bernstorff patronage family and built in the mid-18th century. Prezelle was formerly a Rundling village and was first mentioned in documents between 1330 and 1352 under the name Bitzelle.
A riding station in Prezelle offers accommodation for riders travelling through the area. The Prezelle-Heidehaus-Nemitz circular ride is an equestrian tour through the Nemitzer Heide and includes a stop at the Heidehaus. This route is particularly suitable for beginners; children and teenagers must wear helmets.
The Prezelle-Lanze circular ride is a short route through heathland and is particularly suitable for riders returning to the sport. The Elbe Riverside Ride leads from Prezelle through the Gartow Forest and the Gorleben Forest to the Elbe near Laase.
