Hage reveals its different sides right at the Kurpark am See: a walking loop runs along the lake beneath the trees and is equipped with benches for resting. For visitors who would like to rent a holiday apartment in Hage, the range of destinations described extends from the park to historic buildings, museums and cycling opportunities.
The Hage spa centre combines water fitness, a sauna, massage, physiotherapy and wellness treatments under one roof. The Kurpark am See also includes a dog bathing area and an exercise course for active recreation.
Several planned cycling routes run through Hage; a signposted junction system is available for individually planned rides. The canoe-and-cycle station in Hage combines a canoeing route north to Leybucht or Neßmersiel with the return journey by bicycle through forests and meadows.

The nearby Lütetsburg Castle Park covers approximately 30 hectares and is described as the largest private English landscape garden in northern Germany. The nearby park was laid out in the style of early Romanticism and is one of the few surviving examples of its kind on the European continent.
East Frisian traditions include Low German, a tea ceremony and Boßeln. The nave of St. Ansgari Church dates from around 1220, and the west tower was added in 1250. St. Ansgari Church is one of the oldest church buildings in East Frisia.
The Hage Mill is a five-storey gallery Dutch windmill built in 1871. It is 30.30 metres high and is described as the tallest mill of its type in Europe.
The Magda-Heyken-Haus houses the Hage Archive with historical files, documents and photographs. Historical objects from crafts, trade and agriculture are also displayed there, along with paintings, a library and a local history collection.
The Kunsthaus Hage presents works by various artists in changing exhibitions. The Wald- & Wildmuseum presents information about the East Frisian forest and its inhabitants.
