Every year on the Monday before Whit Monday, Fürstenberg hosts the Igelfest. The tradition has its roots in the local hedgehog legend.
St. Michael’s Church in Fürstenberg originated as a chapel and was built in several construction phases from the 12th century onward. Its surviving features include Romanesque window arches and chancel elements, a Gothic south portal and Gothic windows, a pulpit dating from 1584, and a Baroque altar from 1693.
