Herzsprung: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes
Herzsprung is associated with a remarkable Bronze Age find: In 1844, two bronze shields from the 8th or 7th century BC were found in the marshland near the village. Historians interpret them as ceremonial shields.
Culture
The surrounding area of Herzsprung is home to the Burgwall, Goldbeck Castle and the Sechzehnhundertsechsunddreißig Battle Memorial Platform. Herzsprung also has a memorial stone commemorating the victims of the death march from Sachsenhausen concentration camp, as well as a cemetery grave for 17 victims. The cemetery also contains graves for fallen Polish and Yugoslav soldiers.
