Zeesen: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Anyone wishing to rent a holiday apartment in Zeesen can then continue their accommodation search. Construction of a large broadcasting station began in Zeesen at the end of 1926. The long-wave transmitters went into operation in December 1927, and on August 29, 1929, the first official German shortwave broadcast was transmitted from Zeesen.

Culture and History

At the beginning of the 20th century, Zeesen was home to an airship construction facility where Schütte-Lanz airships were built. Johann Schütte designed them with streamlined shapes.
