The Chapel Trail is a very easy, 3.5-kilometer circular route that starts and ends at the New Church in Taching. Along the way, it passes four religious buildings. From a rest area on the Chapel Trail, you can see Lake Tachinger See and Lake Waginger See, the Höllengebirge, the Osterhorngruppe, the Tennengebirge, and Salzburg Fortress. The panorama brings together lakes, mountain ranges, and the fortress, offering a different experience from a visit to the beach.
Cycling through the Rupertiwinkel
The Rupertiwinkel Panorama Tour is 35.7 kilometers long and starts in Taching am See. From there, it goes via Tengling, St. Coloman, Enhub, Fridolfing, Hipflham, Kirchanschöring, Lampoding, Wolkersdorf, Tettenhausen, and Bicheln before returning to Taching am See. By distance, it is more than ten times as long as the Chapel Trail, so the two routes suit very different day plans. Check the route conditions before setting out.
