Local history around St. Sebastian

St. Sebastian’s Parish Church is one of Neuendorf’s attractions. Its history dates back to 1717: the first church was built then on the site where the parish church stands today. You can also discover the village through its architectural history, not only through outdoor activities.

Another historical point of interest lies nearby: Schönrain am Main is on the opposite side of the Main from Neuendorf. A Benedictine monastery was founded there in 1080. From there, a roughly 1.7-kilometre uphill path leads through the state forest to Schönrain; allow about 30 minutes for the route.
