A winter hiking trail is also among the options described: Target Hiking Trail No. 7 between Nadling and the Asklepios Clinic is prepared as a winter hiking trail in winter. An alternative Goldsteig route leads from Rusel through the Hausstein high forest, past the Asklepios Clinic, to Schaufling. From there, it runs via Wulreiching, Ragin, Ensbach, Böhaming and Ginn to its junction with the main route. This makes it possible to explore Schaufling as part of this alternative route, too.

Near Schaufling, the GEHsundheitsweg starts at the Ruselabsatz car park on state road ST 2135. Village landmarks and historic sites
In the center of Schaufling, the ancient village lime tree stands directly in front of the parish church. It is regarded as a natural attraction and natural monument, as well as a distinctive landmark of the village.
