Langquaid is an old Lower Bavarian settlement in the valley of the Große Laaber.

The present-day parish church of St. James dates back to the 13th century, preserves late Romanesque elements, was redesigned in the Gothic style in the 15th century and acquired its Baroque character around 1740.
