Culture and History

Lindau (Lake Constance) is located on an island in Lake Constance. The entrance to the harbor is marked by the Bavarian Lion and the lighthouse. The townscape also includes the Mangturm tower from the 12th century and the Diebsturm tower from 1380. Guided city tours focus on the town's culture, history and traditions. The historic island of Lindau is connected to the mainland by a road bridge and a railway embankment; the railway embankment leads to Lindau railway station.
