The Gypsum Information Centre is located in the former tithe barn of Ebrach Monastery. It provides information about the formation of gypsum, the history of gypsum mining, its uses, and the flora and fauna of the Sulzheim gypsum hills. Changing exhibitions and events also take place there.

The gypsum trail begins at the Gypsum Information Centre. Five information panels explain archaeology, gypsum mining, nature conservation, the gypsum mill, the gypsum hills, and buildings made of gypsum stone.

Sulzheim Castle is also located in the immediate surroundings of Sulzheim. In the surrounding area of Sulzheim are Zeilitzheim Castle, Bimbach Castle, and Oberschwappach Castle.

The Sulzheim gypsum hills form a protected gypsum karst geotope with sinkholes, dolines, and gypsum hard surfaces. Its rare steppe flora includes feather grass, spurge, Danish astragalus, and spring pheasant's eye. The Sulzheim gypsum hills are located in the immediate surroundings of Sulzheim.

The surrounding area of Sulzheim also includes Geiersberg, Großer Knetzberg, and Kleiner Knetzberg.

Cycling

The extended cycle network connects Sulzheim with all neighbouring municipalities.
