These dates trace a clear sequence of destruction and reconstruction, adding a specific historical focus to a walk through the town.

At the municipal level, the signposted Hammerrunde circular trail follows the Eger past Kaiserhammer, Schwarzenhammer and Stabhammer. On the Czech side, the cycle route continues via Pomezí nad Ohří and Cheb, where it connects to Czech long-distance cycle route No. 6 / Cyklostezka Ohře.
