History
Documented archaeological traces in Forstinning include a Bell Beaker find dating from around 2000 BC, as well as Bronze Age finds near the Sempt.
There was a Roman estate in the Sempt area near the intersection of two Roman roads; a trading post followed in the 2nd century. Around 550, a salt road crossed the Sempt.
