Lengenfeld: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Lengenfeld is a rural settlement in the valley of the Schwarze Laaber at the foot of Helfenberg. Between listed sights, an annual Martini procession and the BierERLEBNISweg, the village reveals itself in several facets.

Culture

Lengenfeld’s listed sights include the Asam Church of St. Martin, Helfenberg Castle Ruins, the Sand Cellar and four local chapels: the Martini Chapel, the Nepomuk Chapel, the Lüß Chapel and the chapel by the motorway.

The Martini procession takes place every year during the St. Martin parish church fair. The riders gather at the Martini Chapel for a church service, receive the blessing and then ride through the village.

Things to Do

The Velburg BierERLEBNISweg is a 12-kilometre circular hiking trail starting and ending in Lengenfeld, with a walking time of around 3.5 hours, 200 metres of elevation gain and nine stations covering the history of beer. The trail is classified as easy.

It is suitable for pushchairs throughout and can also be used as a cycling route; parking spaces are available at Winkler Bräu.

Lengenfeld has direct access to the Nuremberg–Regensburg motorway via the Velburg–Lengenfeld exit.

König Otto’s Cave is located near Lengenfeld. Kastner Cave is located in the surrounding area of Lengenfeld. Schloßberg and Ochsenberg are also located near Lengenfeld.
