Asam art in the collegiate church
The Asam brothers designed the interior of the collegiate church of the Assumption of Mary. There, Cosmas Damian Asam painted a fresco spanning the bays of the nave ceiling for the first time in Bavaria. Egid Quirin Asam created stucco work in the early Rococo style, with influences from the Italian Baroque. The church therefore offers a tangible point of interest for anyone interested in sacred art and the interplay of different artistic periods.
Brewing history and exhibitions
A deed of arbitration issued by Count Albert of Hals in 1268 provides evidence that brewing was underway in Aldersbach by that time. The Bräuseum hosts the permanent exhibitions “Wirtshaussterben?
