The Catholic parish church of St. Nicholas in Pleiskirchen is a Gothic-founded hall church that was remodelled in the Baroque style in 1631/32. The tower’s upper section dates from 1882, and part of the cemetery wall was rebuilt in 1983. This building brings together several chapters of the town’s history: its Gothic foundation, Baroque remodelling and later structural additions.

The Catholic branch church of St. George in Georgenberg was built in 1496 on older foundations, probably dating from the 12th or 13th century. In Nonnberg, the Catholic Church of the Assumption of Mary has a Late Gothic choir and nave; it was consecrated in 1427. Its tower probably dates back to an earlier building, consecrated in 1218.

The Catholic Church of St. Koloman in Sigrün is a Late Gothic brick hall church from the second half of the 15th century. Its tower has a stepped gable. Klebing Castle in Klebing provides a different architectural accent: this four-wing, three-storey complex has an octagonal tower and decorative plasterwork. It was probably built on older foundations in the second half of the 17th century; the castle chapel was built at the same time. Cycling through the Holzland region
