Waterfall and BLACKFORESTLINE
The Todtnau Waterfall lies in the Todtnau mountain region between the holiday resorts of Todtnauberg and Aftersteg. With a drop of 97 metres, it is Baden-Württemberg’s highest natural waterfall.
At the entrance to Todtnauberg, the 450-metre-long BLACKFORESTLINE bridge spans the Todtnau Waterfall. The bridge is around 120 metres above the waterfall and is supported by 76 mm steel cables and 16-metre pylons. This places the natural waterfall’s drop and the bridge’s span and construction side by side as different scales.
Active days and a hearty snack
Todtnau has hiking, cycling and mountain biking routes of varying difficulty, with views of the Black Forest. When planning, you can consider both the type of activity and the level of challenge you want. The different difficulty levels help you choose not only by activity, but also by the challenge you are looking for.
