Market Square and Regional Markets
Kürnbach’s wine village was established in September 1995, at the same time as the opening of the Kraichgau-Stromberg Wine Route. The market square provides the setting for the wine village. Kürnbach’s street festival is also linked to this square: it has been celebrated in the historic centre since 1975, when the market square was completed.
The Nature Park Market is held on the market square every year. Food from direct sellers in the nature park region is offered there. For 2026, the municipality lists a GenussScheune offering from May: discover regional food, do your weekly shopping and enjoy small delicacies with a glass of wine. Trails, Forest and Special Details
The lakeside circular trail leads from the historic centre past the Adventure Golf Park to Schlosswiesensee lake. The KB4 lakeside circular trail is signposted from the market square. The forest nature trail begins about 500 metres east of the town centre, just beyond the Morforster Weg hiking car park at the end of Austraße. The approximately four-kilometre circular route starts at an information board showing the route.
More than 60 signs along the forest nature trail cover subjects including tree and plant species, the age of trees, field names, boundary stones and forest pests. A viewpoint along the trail features a panoramic map and views across the Kraichgau. The stops combine different themes, allowing you to take in the landscape while learning about nature and traces of forest use.
Another striking design feature can be found at Panorama Seeblick: artist Felix Falkner has visually transformed a concrete drainage structure into a ship. A steering wheel and a telescope have been installed. The forest on Kürnbach’s Altenberg also preserves the original foundations of a Chartaque. They are located about 50 metres from the Weitblick installation.
Local History on Guided Walks
On a private historical tour, local guide Hans Wilhelm tells stories about the distinctive features of the former Hesse-Württemberg and later Hesse-Baden condominium. The Historical Town Tour covers 40 stops and introduces buildings and historical figures. This lets you explore local history either through its political particularities or by following its buildings and people.
