Historic traces around St. Pelagius Church
The choir and sacristy were added to St. Pelagius Church around 1300. A side chapel followed towards the end of the 15th century. The neighboring rectory was built by Elias Gunzenhäuser in 1599. The church’s furnishings also offer specific historical points of interest, including a stone pulpit with a canopy and a 14th-century baptismal font. Together, these architectural and furnishing details show how the town’s history can be explored through a focused local theme.
Another feature of the townscape is the heritage-listed Old Town Hall, located in Nufringen’s newly redesigned town center. The renovated community bakehouse adds a building with a communal character to the local sights. This gives you a cultural focus for your trip made up of several different buildings rather than a single destination.
