The alpine Passage du Pas de l’Ours route leads from Ugine to the 2,409-metre-high summit of Mont Charvin and offers views of the Northern Alps as well as the Mont-Blanc and Beaufortain massifs.

Nature
The Albertville–Annecy cycle route connection crosses the Parc des berges de la Chaise. There, the accessible route features wide paths with gentle gradients and is 1.9 kilometres long.
The Centre Equestre d’Ugine is located at the foot of Mont Charvin on the grounds of the Parc des berges de la Chaise. It offers various activities year-round, from baby pony rides to competitive sport.
The Albertville–Faverges cycle path follows the route of a former railway line, is 25 kilometres long and presents no technical difficulties. La Belle Via initially follows the route of the former Annecy steam railway line and then continues towards Ugine and the Pays d’Albertville.
Culture and history
The Crest Cherel Museum displays more than 1,500 objects collected, restored and exhibited by museum volunteers. It is housed in a fortified house restored by the town of Ugine in 1984. The museum provides an English-language visitor brochure at reception.
The former church of Les Fontaines is considered an important part of Ugine’s cultural heritage.
The Centre d’art et de Rencontres d’Ugine presents contemporary artistic forms of expression to the residents of Ugine and the public of the wider region. It also offers individual guided tours.
Traditions
The Fête des Montagnes includes traditional crafts, handicrafts, local products, folklore, livestock, a traditional meal and a livestock parade.
