The site consists of traditional mountain chalets from the 18th and 19th centuries, grouped around its chapel, which have preserved their authenticity.

Le Monal can only be reached on foot from the Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise resort and via several hiking trails.

The Falaise du Monal climbing area comprises 38 routes with difficulty levels ranging from 4c to 7b; the climbing area is 15 to 35 m high. The “La boucle des villages” e-mountain bike route passes through Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise as well as the remarkable hamlets of La Masure and Le Miroir.

A guided architecture walk leads through the hamlets of La Masure and Le Miroir and introduces visitors to their typical Savoyard architecture.
