At an altitude of 1,400 m, Courchevel La Tania is located in a forest clearing. La Tania is directly connected to the Courchevel ski area and, beyond that, to Les 3 Vallées. The La Tania–Le Bouc Blanc cross-country skiing route is 9 km long as a return journey and is approved for pedestrians. The Courchevel La Tania–Méribel cross-country skiing route is 15 km long as a red-grade return route and has 400 m of positive elevation gain.
The Courchevel La Tania–Méribel cross-country skiing route starts either at the Circuit des Teppes, at the upper end of the Route de Jilliard, or at the ball-trap grounds on the Route de Praz Juget towards Les Allues.

In summer, hiking and cycling routes through the surrounding forest are accessible directly from the village of Courchevel La Tania.

Culture and history
In the vicinity of La Tania lies the Savoyard hamlet of Villarnard below La Tania. It features traditional residential buildings as well as communal cultural assets such as a washhouse and a bread oven.
In the vicinity of La Tania, the former school of Villarnard can be visited; today, it is the headquarters of the Le Patrimoine association.
