Denicé: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Culture

The present-day Church of Saint Pancrace was built between 1872 and 1875 and inaugurated at Easter 1878. It is a west-facing neo-Gothic building with three naves and six bays, preceded by a narthex.

The Chapelle de Chevennes dates from the 12th century and was rebuilt in the 15th century. It was a stop on the pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostela and can be visited during the European Heritage Days. The traditional Fête des Conscrits takes place on the last Sunday in February each year.

Nature and trails

Les Chemins des Arts is a marked circular route of around 11 kilometres through Denicé, showcasing works by nearly 25 artists at 12 locations in Denicé. A walk around the centre of Denicé leads to picturesque hamlets.

Wine

The L'Affoleuse brewery is open to the public every Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. and at other times by appointment.

At the tasting at Château de Buffavent, five wines from the Pierres Dorées terroir are served. By prior arrangement, the château also offers a guided tour of the vineyards and wine cellar.

Domaine du Champ de la Croix offers private customers free tours and tastings by prior arrangement. The selection includes numerous cuvées from the Beaujolais and Brouilly appellations, as well as Crémant de Bourgogne and rosé pétillant.
