The Espace Culturel La Buire houses a media library, an events hall and two conference rooms. Throughout the year, it offers a cultural programme featuring theatre, music, singing and dance; since 2023, it has held the “Scène Départementale de la Loire” label.
The Church of Saint Nicholas in L'Horme dates from the 19th century, while the chapel in the hamlet of Le Fay dates from the 17th century. The Pont de Boissieu is a railway viaduct built in 1917 by German prisoners of war. The Puits Gillier shaft reached a total depth of 1,100 metres and was France's deepest mine shaft for a long time. The Fonderies et Forges de L'Horme, founded in 1847, played an important role in the development of the municipality.
