Stage 3 of the GTV on foot follows a hanging trail at the foot of the eastern balcony range of the Vercors, overlooking Château-Bernard and offering views along the northern Vercors range as far as the village of Saint-Andéol.

The Site d'escalade du Merlé offers technical climbing on a 25 m-high grey limestone wall at grades 5c to 6c. The beginner sector of the Site d'escalade du Merlé has four routes measuring 10 to 15 m in length, graded 4a to 5a.
