Eybens: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture and History
The present-day Château d'Eybens is believed to date from 1610. The Château d'Eybens is located on a hill above the historic town centre and the passage towards the Champagnier Plateau and the foothills of the Belledonne. Its chapel contains rediscovered trompe-l'œil frescoes that have been uncovered and probably date from the 17th century.
The first known mention of the church of Eybens dates from the late 11th century. Documents from the 15th century establish that the church is dedicated to Saint Christopher. The first traces of the Château de la Commanderie date back to the middle of the 13th century. At that time, it was called “Maladrerie de la Levade”, was a leprosarium, and belonged to the Templars.
Nature and Trails
Parc Hubert-Dubedout is home to a diverse, little-known range of animal and plant life characteristic of rubble woodlands.
The municipal route “Des Coulmes au parc Dubedout” leads into the forest of Parc Dubedout and forms a loop with beautiful views over the Grenoble metropolitan area. The highest point of the Parcours d'orientation patrimoine adulte is on Colline des Arselles, approximately 120 metres above the town centre.
Leisure and Cultural Activities
Piscine d'Eybens is an outdoor swimming pool with an Olympic-sized pool, a teaching pool, and a paddling pool. It is accessible to people with reduced mobility and includes suitable changing rooms, sanitary facilities, and an access lift, among other provisions.
Admission to the Médiathèque d’Eybens is free; registration is required to borrow documents. Espace culturel Odyssée has an event hall with an auditorium for 300 people. The Côté Jardin area there is also open to the public and offers temporary exhibitions, workshops, and artist residencies.
