Vailly: Holiday apartments and holiday homes

Nature and landscape

The Forêt ivre educational trail runs along the Brevon and through its protected forest. The Les Chalets de Pertuis route leads through the Buchille mountain pastures and offers mountain panoramas throughout the walk. From June to September, farmers continue to settle on the Buchille mountain pastures to milk the animals twice a day.

Hiking and winter

The easy route to the Chapelle d'Hermone starts at the Col du Feu. The hike to the Chapelle d'Hermone follows a Stations of the Cross route to Notre Dame d'Hermone. The snowshoe route to the Chapelle d'Hermone offers views of Lake Geneva before reaching the Chapelle Notre Dame d'Hermone. A variant of the snowshoe route to the Chapelle d'Hermone follows the Hermone ridge to the Montagne aux Soeurs and follows the red-and-white GR markings.

The easy Les Chalets de Pertuis hike begins in Vailly and is signposted as a 4.0 km out-and-back route. The Chapelle d'Hermone stands at an altitude of 1,327 m and is located on the GR Balcon du Léman.

Culture and history

The Saint Georges Church in Vailly is one of the Sardinian neoclassical churches. The Chapelle d'Hermone was built in 1489 by 52 heads of families from Vailly. On the summit ridge of Mont d'Hermone, the Notre Dame d'Hermone chapel stands in the middle of the forest at an altitude of 1,328 m.

Other activities

During the cani-hiking activity offered at the Parc Nordique by Traîneaux Passion in Vailly, participants walk with a dog attached by an elastic leash and learn to control its pulling force. The fishing section of the Brevon in Vailly is 2.5 km long and is suitable for fly fishing and Toc fishing; only these two types of fishing are permitted there. Near Vailly/Sous-la-Côte, there is a separation from Tour du Roc d'Enfer No. 37.
