The moderately difficult Boucle de Semy le Bouaz circular hike begins in Vacheresse and is 8.8 kilometres long. Starting at Lac de Fontaine, it follows an alpine path to the hamlet of Sémy; from Alpage de Sémy, it offers a view of Lake Geneva.

Nature and Trails
The GR5 Alpes stage from Bise to Trébentaz begins at Alpage de Bise and crosses the Cornettes de Bise and Mont de Grange Natura 2000 nature reserves. From Vacheresse, its starting point can be reached in the direction of Bise. There is a large car park at Alpage de Bise, but no public transport connection.
The hike from Bise to Ubine passes through alpine meadows and forests and offers views of the Cornettes de Bise Natura 2000 area. The alpine meadows crossed along the way allow cows to graze and thus enable the production of Abondance cheese, typical of the region and protected by a designation of origin.
Water and Trails
Lac de Fontaine is easily accessible from Vacheresse by car via the road to the Chalets de Bise and can easily be circumnavigated on foot or by bicycle. Brown trout and minnows are fished at Lac de Fontaine.
Refuge d'Ubine can be reached in winter with snowshoes and ski touring equipment, and in summer on foot and by car.
Culture
On 6 June 1792, a prayer site carved into the rock was created for Notre-Dame-de-la-Paraz, where a statue of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours was installed. The rock-carved oratory of Notre-Dame-de-la-Paraz is still visible to the right of the chapel. The Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-la-Paraz was rebuilt in 1937 after being damaged by falling trees in 1936.
The Chapelle Notre-Dame-des-Carmes, Saint-Michel was founded in 1872 by Michel Favre in honour of Notre-Dame-des-Carmes and Saint Michael. In 1980, the stained-glass windows in this chapel were removed and the paintings were renovated.
