Reignier-Esery: Holiday apartments and houses

The Saveurs & Paysages hike in Reignier-Ésery is a family hike that was launched in 2010 and whose route changes every year. The routes are on average 12 kilometers long and include four tasting stations offering soup, meat, cheese, and drinks – exclusively made from local products.

Nature

The Plaine des Rocailles, which also extends across Reignier-Ésery, is classified as a type I ZNIEFF and has been designated as a sensitive natural area of the département since 2019. It comprises dry areas, wetlands, forests, and pastures, as well as diverse habitats, flora, and fauna.

Culture

The square stone tower of Bellecombe is 25 meters high and served as the castle’s keep. The Château de Polinges collapsed on February 2, 1977; the two entrance towers survived and were restored together with the patio connecting them.

For the “Bancs récitants” project, Jean Poinsignon created 11 sound capsules in Reignier-Ésery. Two routes for short walks in the surrounding area are available for this purpose in Reignier and Ésery.
