Saint-Jeoire: Holiday Apartments and Holiday Homes

Culture

The square La Tour carrée dates from around the year 1000 and was originally part of the Saint-Georges church; it was restored in 1988. The Saint-Georges church in Saint-Jeoire was built between 1855 and 1858 and retains all the characteristics of the Lombard Gothic Revival style, both outside and inside.

The Château de Beauregard was the residence of the lords of La Fléchère, who later became counts, from the 13th century onwards. In addition to serving as a residence, its original function was to defend the centre of Saint-Jeoire-en-Faucigny. The château includes a stair tower built in the 14th century, with steps made of unfinished marble.

Nature

The Pointe des Brasses reaches an altitude of 1,503 metres. From there, it offers panoramic views of Mont Blanc, Chablais, Le Môle and the Arve Valley. The Boucle de la Pesse offers a series of panoramas of Mont Blanc and Le Môle.

The Risse River runs through Onnion and Saint-Jeoire. It has wooded, shaded banks and carries crystal-clear water suitable for trout fishing.

Activities

Saint Jeoire Escalade offers regular indoor climbing sessions at the SAE and the PAN in the Saint-Jeoire sports hall for adult members and experienced upper-secondary students. When weather conditions are suitable, Saint Jeoire Escalade offers outdoor climbing sessions from May onwards.

A free ski bus connects the alpine ski area of the Massif des Brasses at Chaîne d'Or with the Nordic ski area at Plaine-Joux. The discovery tour through the Giffre Valley and to the Cirque du Fer-à-Cheval continues to Saint-Jeoire after Pont de Fillinges.
