Morillon 1100 Les Esserts is a ski-in, ski-out resort within the Grand Massif ski area. The Grand Massif ski area linked to Morillon 1100 offers 265 kilometres of pistes.

History

The Les Esserts site was acquired between 1937 and 1939 as alpine meadowland in order to create a winter sports resort there. The first chairlift between the village of Morillon and Les Esserts was built in 1958.

Landscape and Trails

Morillon 1100 Les Esserts is located on the wooded Esserts plateau. The La Croix des 7 Frères hiking trail leads to the highest point in Morillon and offers beautiful views over the valley. The trail to the Plateau de la Charniaz passes through a forest and crosses several waterways before returning to a clearing. The walking trail to the Plateau de la Charniaz begins in Morillon 1100, in the Les Esserts area.

Events

The “Rando nocturne avec fondue” event includes a night-time forest walk to a yurt in Morillon 1100 Les Esserts, along with a fondue made from three types of cheese. At the Forum des Esserts, a fun introduction to disc golf is offered on an adapted course.

Summer

For summer 2026, line 7 is designated as a connection between Morillon Village and Les Esserts – Morillon 1100, with transport by gondola.
